Randy Gacke – Director of Healing Room

The Healing Room has been a vision of Randy’s for years.  God has laid it upon his heart through his own experiences and his work to be a light in the darkness in the community of Inwood, IA.  Randy’s compassionate heart and empathy for the brokenhearted has led him to start the ministry of Celebrate Recovery and to offer free Christian counseling.  In 2021, he reached out to the area church pastors to see if they also felt there was a need for this ministry.  All pastors gave their overwhelming support.  He then reached out to individuals in the community to be a part of the board.  The Lord’s hand has been on this ministry from the beginning.  Many individuals and businesses in the area have gotten behind Randy to help start The Healing Room.

Randy Gacke

Director of Healing Room, graduated from West Lyon.  Licensed chaplain and working on a degree for Christian counseling.  Involved in bible studies and hospital ministry.  

Randy Hage

From Inwood, IA, a graduate of West Lyon and Southeast Community College with a degree in engineering.  Works as a Lyon County Engineering Technician. 

Kandace Brands

A member of our Inwood community for the last 25 years.  Kandace is an Instructor of Business at Dordt University.  Her and her family are members of Faith Reformed Church in Rock Valley. 

Brent Hohman

Brent grew up in Larchwood graduated from West Lyon and SDSU. Brent and Laurie recently moved to Larchwood. Brent has spent the last 35 years with Trail-EZE Inc and still works full time for the company.

 Sarah Ver Steg

Sarah Ver Steeg is a woman that is passionate about honoring God in all she does. Including being a wife to Mike, mother to 3 young adults and their families. She loves to encourage those she meets to grow in Christ and follow God with all their heart.

Larry Wannamaker

Larry and his wife Jodi, have been residents of Inwood, IA for the last 3 years. Currently, Larry and his wife are members of New Life Assembly of God in Inwood, IA where he is the lead pastor. Larry is also a current member of the Kiwanis Club in Inwood.

Gwen Berenshot

Gwen is married to Chad, she moved to Inwood when they got married 28 years ago. They have 2 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, a grandson ( due in May 2025) and a daughter who is a junior at West Lyon. Their family attends church at First Reformed Inwood. Gwen is the Office Manager at the Canton Dental Clinic.
